Remote Proctoring Process for the CRTS™ Exam

Just a few notes on what to expect when you take the CRTS exam.

You may take your exam at any time. No need to schedule with us. You will take your exam via any web browser and your exam will be monitored by our testing platform. Below the video are additional important, key details. PLEASE NOTE, our exam platform will be undergoing maintenance on Saturday, Dec 20 from 3pm Eastern for approximately 9 hours. You will not be able to take the exam during that window.

Equipment Requirements:

  • You will need a PC, laptop or Chromebook with a functioning camera. We do not support taking the exam via tablets or phones.

  • You must be connected to very reliable internet.

  • Any browser will work, however the best experience is available via Chrome, or another Chromium-based browser.

  • No software installation is required.

ID Requirements:

At the time of your exam we will require that you present a photo ID, which will be compared to a picture taken of you prior to the exam. Be prepared to present it to your PC/laptop camera at the time you test. ID (must have photo and not be expired - failure to attempt to present a photo ID will result in your exam submission being voided). At least one of:

  • Government issued Driver’s License

  • Passport

  • Military ID

  • State/Country ID

  • Other government-issued ID with a photo

Browser Monitoring - what is logged and reported to us:

  • Switching tabs, applications, or monitors

  • Losing mouse focus

  • Leaving full screen

  • Browser refresh

  • Duration of each event

  • Question where the event occurred

  • Any of the above may result in your exam submission being voided

Camera Monitoring

Our AI-powered face detection feature ensures that you remain in front of the screen at all times, helping to confirm your presence throughout the entire session. If you leave the screen or if multiple faces are detected, the system alerts logs the event in the results. Any of the above may result in your exam submission being voided.

About the Exam

The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and you will have 1.5 hours (90 minutes) to complete it.

When you have seen all 50 questions, you can review any or all of the questions on the exam before you submit. When you're ready to submit, there is a green "Finish Now" button. When you click the button, you will confirm, and in a few seconds you will be shown the confirmation screen. This screen shows your name and the start and end time of your exam.

Once you submit your exam, you can safely close out of the browser. Our team will review the recording in full and you should have your results within 2 business days.
